"Awesome stay"
Amazing hotel, staff polite and very professional.. By far the best premier inn i have ever stayed at... highly recommend
"The Canary Wharf Experience"
Always a great experience whenever I’ve stayed at the premier inn in Canary Wharf, like most people have already said it’s very convenient with the DLR being next door, Prisha and the gang are always helpful and breakfast is always superb it’s a great place for the money
"Don't waste money on early check-in!"
Booked for one night as we were going to an event. Paid for early check-in as we needed to be at our venue just after lunch. Had been delayed in our travel down but when we went to check-in at around 1pm were told no rooms available until 2.30pm! Explained we'd paid for early check-in but all we heard was we've over 400 rooms to clean and none were ready. There were other guests also being told to wait until rooms became available. If you've too many rooms to clean employ more housekeeping don't use it as an excuse and take guests money. Will never pay for early check-in again.
"Terrible"
Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago and found it to be ok, I booked again, as we had plans in the area. Never again… The room we were given was just awful- virtually no natural light, looking out onto what I can only describe as a dark ‘shaft.’ When I complained to reception, apparently it is now their policy to up-charge for a ‘view.’ This was not something that I had to do last time I stayed and I did not see this option when booking. Even so, I’m still not sure that opting for ‘no view’ should equate to having no natural light and the majority of rooms do not have this outlook so surely not all other guests in the hotel had to pay this up-charge? Despite having no natural light, the room was boiling and unbelievably stuffy. We asked for a fan and maintenance checked the aircon and cleaned the filter but the A/C kept turning off throughout the night anyway so I had to keep getting up to turn it back on. Other issues were: the hairdryer kept turning off and cutting out, the TV would only had a maximum volume of 14 so we had to watch it with subtitles, and the plumbing kept make loud noises meaning that we got hardly any sleep. In addition to this, we had no data connection/signal in the room and when we signed up for the hotel wifi, it was really poor. Normally you can’t go wrong with Premier Inns and I find that you know what you’re getting but stating here on this particular room felt so cramped and claustrophobic, I would not return and would stay in other hotels in the area (of which there are many) instead.
"Gone downhill"
Used to be my go to PI for London but last 2 trips this month have been bad. Aircon barely working and remotely scheduled to turn off in the night. Bed sheets clean but feel like they have been washed in the Thames. No soap in the toilet downstairs. Poor sleep. I can only assume they have tried to economise and thus ruined things.
